Well, I am here to tell you that getting them organized can be done, and it will really get that Monkey off your back!! I had loads of them. Some were under the bed, most were in Rubbermaid boxes and they were really a mess. Then Creative Memories came out with the Power Sort Box!! As a consultant, I just had to try it and see if it really worked. Amazingly, IT DID!!! I went from completely unorganized to fully organized and almost ready to begin putting them in albums. The Power Sort Box holds 2,400 photos and comes with 12 write on tabbed dividers. It was awesome to behold!!
It wasn't a 1 or 2 hour job, and it was difficult. What to do with all the negatives and the double prints etc. I took my dining room table and began sorting by decade. This took a while - because I wanted to reminisce as I looked at these pictures. But once that was done, I then began sorting them in by year. Then eventually by season and/or month. Finally, it was done.
Since then, I have helped several customers do this same thing. The benefit is that I was able to keep them on task and not let them wander down memory lane too much. In a couple of hours, Heather had a complete Power Sort Box ready to go. She took her very, very large RubberMaid box home and used it for something else. Since then, she has completed the college album, her Disney album and currently working on 2007!! Way to go Heather!!!
You know as well as I do that the wonders of a photograph are endless. When we touch it, it often transports us back to the place and time that the picture was taken!! We often remember the way the sun felt on our bodies, the smell of the cookies baking in the oven or even how hard our stomachs hurt from laughing too much. However, we are the only ones who have those memories. My challenge to you is to tackle your photos and get them in order so that you can preserve those memories for the generations to come.
Email me and let me know where you are in this process and I will help to motivate you and keep you accountable for preserving our precious memories for our families and generations to come.
God Bless and extend a smile to someone who needs it today. Deb
